Sun City Carolina Lakes, a luxury 55+ retirement resort just outside of Charlotte, NC was looking to update its 40,000-square-foot community center. They needed places for the residents to socialize, play pool, entertain visitors, listen to visiting performers, and meet with any of the 140 available clubs.
April Gahagan of FS Design Group teamed up with her friend and fellow designer, Leslie Huntley of Roost Interior Design to update this massive space. Together they were able to modernize the existing floorplan by dividing it into zones, then creating a cohesive design throughout with a cool color palette. They then layered textures and patterns, leaving the resort feeling light and airy and beckoning residents and visitors alike to come out and play.
